Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996, in Miami Florida. She is half English one-half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentinan of Scottish and English heritage is also her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English roots. Taylor Joy has four brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's previous marriages. Family resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this relocation was difficult and she refused to master English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was obligated to accept her. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in shows. When she was 16, she quit the school to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to be an actor. The opportunity was offered to her opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her the opportunity to model.
