Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She grew up with twelve other kids. Her vivid imagination allowed her to escape the pressures of daily life. Even before learning to write or read and compose her own music. She got her first guitar when she was 8 and began singing on a Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. In the same year, she recorded her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. While in high school, she made herself known to the school community but her goals were bigger. After graduating high school in 1964 she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his syndicated television show. Parton took the job in 1966. She then joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I Will Never Love You and had it reach Number. The first time in 1974.
